Once upon a time, there was Candy and Dan
Things were very hot that year
All the wax was melting in the trees
He would climb balconies, climb everywhere, do anything for her, oh Danny boy
Thousands of birds, the tiniest birds, adorned her hair
Everything was gold
One night the bed caught fire
He was handsome and a very good criminal
We lived on sunlight and chocolate bars
It was the afternoon of extravagant delight
Danny the daredevil
Candy went missing
The days last rays of sunshine cruise like sharks
I want to try it your way this time
You came into my life really fast and I liked it
We squelched in the mud of our joy
I was wet-thighed with surrender
Then there was a gap in things and the whole earth tilted
This is the business

Boyfriend Jeans

I had a wonderfully young and doe-eyed fling a few summers ago, and during our summer of love, this particular boy gave me his belt to wrap around my own waist. It was such a simple item, but it meant the world to me- it was an actual document of our ephemeral love. After the fling ended, my broken heart was mended by his belt as it tangled its way around my baggy jeans. So, if you want to make your boyfriend jeans a bit more authentic and your heart a bit more lustful, grab your dearest love's belt and wear it around your waist...

Splish Splash

Hello darling watercolor swimsuit, I love you and can't wait to splash around with you! Swimsuits are the number one staple for the summer, so I like to spend a good amount of time hunting for the sunniest suit- and this one is on the top of my list!

Ryder

I can't get over how cute Kate Hudson and her son, Ryder are! He is the cutest little rock and roll kid I've ever seen. I really love long hair on young boys- its so rebellious and charming. And I adore Kate Hudson- she is so hip and she has managed to stay young and fresh!

Dylan

Now that it is summer, I want nothing more than to lay in the sun listening to Bob Dylan. His music brings out the rebellious young girl in me and it is quite divine. If you haven't already, check out Don't Look Back, a documentary of Dylan's tour of England in 1965- wonderful footage!

Summer At Last
